Delhi, January 31: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the media ahead of the Budget Session 2025, outlining his vision for a prosperous and developed India. He emphasised that the next 25 years would be dedicated to achieving ‘Viksit Bharat’ and called for a collaborative approach between the Centre, states, and citizens to drive transformation.

Referring to India’s 75-year journey as a Republic, the Prime Minister expressed pride in the country’s democratic achievements. He acknowledged the trust placed in his government for a third consecutive term and expressed confidence that by 2047, when India marks 100 years of independence, it will have achieved its goal of becoming a developed nation.

PM Modi stated that the government was moving forward in mission mode, focusing on innovation, inclusion, and investment as pillars of economic growth. He highlighted that key bills and policy discussions during the session would strengthen the nation, with a special focus on gender equality and empowering women beyond religious and sectarian boundaries.

Reaffirming the importance of reform, perform, and transform, the Prime Minister stressed that state and central governments must work together for progress, while public participation would drive transformation. He underscored the role of youth in shaping India’s future, noting that those aged 20-25 today would lead the country into its next century. Drawing parallels with the freedom struggle, he urged young leaders to contribute actively, seeing this period as their opportunity to shape India’s destiny.

PM Modi also noted that this was the first parliamentary session since 2014 that had not witnessed foreign attempts to create disturbances beforehand. He pointed out that in the past decade, external influences had often tried to disrupt proceedings, but this session had begun without such interference.

The Prime Minister expressed hope that the Budget Session would meet the aspirations of the people and strengthen the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
