Hyderabad: President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended Deepavali greetings to the people of India, wishing them happiness, peace, and prosperity.
In her message, President Murmu sent warm wishes to citizens in India and abroad. She said Deepavali stands for light defeating darkness, knowledge defeating ignorance, and good defeating evil.
The President said the festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. It reflects love, unity, and brotherhood. She also noted that devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi on this day. The occasion, she said, inspires self-reflection and spiritual growth.
Moreover, Murmu urged people to celebrate in an eco-friendly and responsible way. She said Deepavali is also a time to help the underprivileged and spread kindness in society.

He also wished families across the country a happy festival. Modi said Deepavali reminds everyone of the triumph of good over evil. He added that the festival should strengthen bonds of love and bring joy to every home.
Finally, both leaders expressed hope that Deepavali would fill the nation with peace, unity, and goodwill.
