HYDERABAD: The Telangana Police have issued strict directives concerning the contentious Gachibowli lands. Authorities have prohibited unauthorized individuals from entering the area and instructed local police to prevent any unrelated persons from accessing the property. They have warned that stringent action will be taken against those who violate these restrictions.
The dispute involves 400 acres of land in Survey No. 25 of Kancha Gachibowli, Serilingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District. The Supreme Court has expressed strong disapproval of the state government’s actions regarding this land. It has ordered an immediate halt to all ongoing activities and directed the Telangana government to cease operations until further notice. The Court questioned the urgency behind the activities and emphasized the need for prior approval from the Central Empowered Committee before felling trees, noting that clearing 100 acres of trees in a single day is a significant matter. The next hearing is scheduled for April 16.
