Hyderabad: Telangana Transport Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Friday accused the BJP and BRS of colluding to block the BC reservations bill in Parliament. Speaking at a double-bedroom housing distribution programme in Hanamkonda, he alleged that both parties acted as “partners in crime” to stall the legislation.
The minister distributed house title documents to 564 beneficiaries from Ambedkar Nagar and Jitender Nagar at the Kaloji Kala Kshetram. He said ten years of BRS rule had pushed Telangana into decline across sectors, and alleged large-scale corruption in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.

Reddy criticised the BRS for questioning the report of the Justice Chandra Ghose Committee on Kaleshwaram irregularities. He said the Congress government had conducted a comprehensive caste census across Telangana the first of its kind in the country — and passed a law ensuring 42% reservations for BCs in education, employment, and local bodies, sending it to the Centre for approval. “The BJP and BRS together blocked the bill,” he alleged, urging the public to follow developments on BC reservations closely.
