Hyderabad: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar accused Union Minister Kishan Reddy of secretly helping the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the Jubilee Hills by-election. He said the BJP’s campaign had collapsed under Reddy’s leadership.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Ponnam alleged that Kishan Reddy turned the BJP’s election drive into a favour for the BRS. He said Reddy had handed the party’s local system over to what he called “BRS 2.”

Ponnam challenged that the BJP candidate in Jubilee Hills would not secure more than 10,000 votes. He claimed Reddy, who once sought BRS support, was again backing the same party in the by-election.
He also said discussions among local voters suggest a secret understanding between both parties. Ponnam questioned what Kishan Reddy had done for his constituency in the last ten years as MP and Union Minister.
The minister urged Reddy to work with honesty and stop misleading his party workers. He said Reddy should act, as Raja Singh advised, with integrity instead of deception.
