Husnabad: Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar kept his birthday simple this year, spending the day in Husnabad with the people of his constituency and taking part in community activities.
He began the morning with a visit to a nearby temple, offering prayers and performing rituals. A little later, he dropped in at the government hospital, where Youth Congress and NSUI members had organised a blood donation camp in his honour.
Prabhakar walked around the camp, spoke to a few of the donors, appreciated their effort, and handed out fruit to them. “This is the best way to celebrate — by doing something useful for society,” one organiser said.
The day wrapped up with a small celebration among Congress party workers and local supporters. A cake was cut, photos were taken, and well-wishers lined up to greet the minister.
