Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Friday distributed double-bedroom house allotment pattas to beneficiaries from Charminar, Malakpet, Yakutpura, and Chandrayangutta constituencies. The allotments had earlier stalled due to a court case but resumed after clearance. The ceremony took place at the Minister’s Quarters.
GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Rajya Sabha member Anil Kumar Yadav, and local MLAs joined the programme. Officials said the pattas form part of the GHMC’s 2BHK housing scheme for urban poor.
2BHK pattas handed to Hyderabad beneficiaries
As part of the project, GHMC constructed houses at Mankal village in Maheshwaram mandal of Rangareddy district. Authorities listed 1,730 beneficiaries and allocated homes at Mankal Phase-II.
On Friday, Ponnam Prabhakar handed pattas to 75 beneficiaries from different constituencies, including Amberpet (134), Bahadurpura (294), Bandlaguda (155), Charminar (209), and Saidabad (206). Officials said the remaining pattas would be issued through local MRO offices in the coming days.
