Hyderabad: Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday inspected the beautification works at Ellamma Cheruvu in Husnabad. He directed officials to speed up the project and ordered repairs to bund sections damaged by rains.
The minister stressed that engineers must maintain quality in every stage of work. He instructed them to take safety measures so that no problems arise during the construction.

Prabhakar said Husnabad would celebrate Bathukamma in a grand manner this year. He told officials to complete all arrangements at Ellamma Cheruvu in advance. Since the tank is full, he asked for barricades inside the bund.
He also ordered proper lighting, a stage, a sound system, police security, and traffic regulation on the road from the national highway to Ellamma Cheruvu.
Later, Prabhakar met local residents and received their suggestions on the festival arrangements. He directed officials to review those proposals and act on them.
