Hyderabad: Telangana minister Ponnam Prabhakar campaigned in the Jubilee Hills by-election on Saturday and started several development works.
Prabhakar said Congress respected the family of late Maganti Gopinath but warned that “sentiment politics” would not bring growth. He accused BRS leaders of using the family for politics and forcing them onto the streets.
Ponnam Prabhakar urges voters in Jubilee Hills by-election
The minister urged voters to show the same awareness as Secunderabad Cantonment residents. He asked party workers to make sure the Congress flag goes up in the by-election.
He told leaders to spread welfare schemes to every house. These include new ration cards, fine rice, 200 units of free power, interest-free loans, and free bus rides for women. He said 6,000 new ration cards had already been given in Jubilee Hills.
Prabhakar said only Congress can bring real development in the area if voters back the party.
