Hyderabad: BC Welfare Minister and Hyderabad District In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Saturday urged residents of low-lying areas in the city to remain vigilant as heavy rainfall continues to lash Hyderabad for a second consecutive day.
Addressing the media, Prabhakar said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is closely monitoring the situation and has directed officials to respond promptly to any rain-related issues reported by the public. He appealed to citizens to alert local authorities immediately if they face flooding or other difficulties.
The Minister assured that senior officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, District Collectorate, Hyderabad Commissionerate, Police Department, and Water Works have been mobilised and are actively coordinating response efforts.
He emphasised the need for collective caution and timely reporting to prevent any major disruptions or safety risks in vulnerable zones.
