President Droupadi Murmu expresses grief over Kurnool bus fire tragedy

Hyderabad: President Droupadi Murmu expressed deep sorrow over the Kurnool bus fire tragedy that claimed several lives near Chinnatekur in Andhra Pradesh. She described the accident, in which flames engulfed a Hyderabad–Bengaluru private bus, as “a deeply unfortunate incident.” The President offered her condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for their strength. She also wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

Leaders express condolences over the Kurnool bus fire tragedy

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar said he felt deeply pained by the horrific accident. “The thought of over 20 innocent passengers losing their lives in such a terrible way is heartbreaking,” he stated. Moreover, he urged that all assistance reach the victims’ families and the injured without delay.

Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the complete burning of the Volvo bus near Kurnool shocked him. He explained that he had spoken with Kurnool district officials about the accident. Later, he expressed condolences to the victims’ families and appealed to the Andhra Pradesh government to provide quality medical care for the injured. In addition, he requested passengers’ relatives not to panic.

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) also expressed grief over the tragedy. He said losing more than 20 lives in one incident was extremely distressing. Therefore, he prayed for peace for the departed souls and extended condolences to their families.

Telangana Jagruthi chief K. Kavitha said she was deeply moved by the death of so many passengers. She prayed for the victims’ souls to rest in peace and conveyed her sympathy to the grieving families.
