Hyderabad: The body of a five-year-old boy, Prince, who went missing after falling into a well near his residence in Mailardevpally, was recovered on Wednesday morning following an overnight search operation.
Prince had been playing with other children near his home at Rajiv Gruhakalpa in Laxmiguda on Tuesday afternoon when he accidentally fell into a water-filled well and drowned.
Personnel from the Mailardevpally police, HYDRAA, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and the fire department began a coordinated search effort shortly after the incident. The operation continued through the night.
With no success by late Tuesday, the rescue teams paused operations and resumed early Wednesday. The boy’s body was retrieved from the well and shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
