Hyderabad: PV Narasimha Rao Veterinary University held its 5th convocation on Friday. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma attended as chief guest. Vice-Chancellor Gnan Prakash received him and offered a formal welcome.
The university awarded degrees and certificates to 524 students from the 2023–2024 batch. Among them were 16 PhD scholars, 69 Masters of Veterinary Science, and 439 Bachelors in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology and Fishery Science.

Officials presented 25 gold medals to 18 students for academic excellence. Two faculty members received best teacher awards with gold medals.
The event drew several dignitaries. National Dairy Development Board chairman Dr. Meenesh Shah, registrar Prof. Sharath Chandra, Dr. Uday Kumar, Dr. Kishan Kumar, Dr. Jayalakshmi, Dr. Satish Kumar and Prof. Satyanarayana joined the ceremony.
