Hyderabad: With Bakrid around the corner, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu on Tuesday pressed his officers to pick up the pace on investigations, swiftly address public grievances, and tighten security across the commissionerate.
In a crime review meeting at the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, the top cop huddled with senior officials DCPs, Additional DCPs, ACPs, and CIs from Malkajgiri, LB Nagar, Maheshwaram, and Yadadri Bhongir zones. The agenda: clear pending cases, sharpen law enforcement, and strengthen preventive policing.
Calling for no-nonsense investigations, Sudheer Babu told officers to ensure cases don’t gather dust. “All pending UI (under investigation) cases must be cleared without delay,” he said, stressing that sensitive counter-cases must be handled with due diligence to protect the integrity of justice.
He also directed daily reviews of key wings, including Verticals and Dial 100, urging station heads to keep a close eye on ground operations. “Regular monitoring ensures accountability,” he noted.
With festival security in focus, he announced plans for heavy deployment at checkpoints and ramped-up patrolling during Bakrid.
He also emphasized the need for sharper investigative work in complex cases pinning down the real culprits and keeping victims informed at every step.
Among those who attended the meeting were Malkajgiri DCP PV Padmaja, LB Nagar DCP Praveen Kumar, Bhongir DCP Akshansh Yadav, Maheshwaram DCP Sunitha Reddy, SB DCP G. Narasimhareddy, Crime DCP Aravind Babu, Cyber Crime DCP Nagalakshmi, Admin DCP Indira, along with several Additional DCPs and ACPs.
