Hyderabad: Medak MP Raghunandan Rao on Tuesday directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to clear nala encroachments between BHEL junction and Ameenpur and asked for ₹100 crore to restore the stretch.
Rao inspected the road and nala works from BHEL junction to Ameenpur along with GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner Hemant Bodkhare, and other officials.

The MP said three sluices at BHEL junction remained blocked, forcing sewage to flow through only one outlet. He noted large-scale encroachments along the nala and told GHMC to remove them immediately.
Rao demanded ₹100 crore to complete nala development from BHEL to Sultanpur device within 100 days. He also instructed officials to begin other pending development works without delay.
Chandanagar Deputy Commissioner Shashirekha, ACP Nagireddy, Ameenpur municipal officials, and BJP leaders joined the inspection.
