HYDERABAD: BJP MLA Raja Singh has alleged that leaders within his own party plotted to send him to jail by pressuring police to file PD Act cases against him. The sensational claim has sparked internal turmoil in the Telangana BJP during the ongoing state Assembly sessions.
Speaking to the media, Raja Singh said that certain BJP leaders were backstabbing him and conspiring behind the scenes. “It was BJP leaders themselves who instructed the police to book me under the PD Act,” he alleged. He also claimed that these actions were part of a larger conspiracy to sideline him within the party.
Despite the ongoing budget session in the Telangana Assembly, Raja Singh has not attended any meetings, further fuelling speculation about his rift with the party. His absence and continued criticism have drawn attention across political circles.
The MLA from Goshamahal has been vocal in recent days, particularly over the selection process for the new state BJP president. Two days ago, he publicly stated that the leadership post should be given to a sincere leader who works for the party and not to those who meet Congress or BRS leaders in secret.
He asserted that the BJP can come to power in the next elections only if the party entrusts leadership to individuals committed to party ideology and grassroots workers, not personal interests. His repeated remarks have become a major talking point among BJP cadres.
