Hyderabad: Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh on Wednesday challenged Union Minister and BJP MP Kishan Reddy to resign from his position and contest against him as an independent, intensifying his attack on the BJP’s state leadership.
Speaking to the media, Raja Singh asserted that he would not resign from his MLA post under any circumstances. He questioned the BJP leadership’s authority to force his resignation, stating, “What can the party do if I refuse to step down?”
He further declared that he was open to meeting the BJP high command if summoned. “If the party asks, I will rejoin. But I won’t resign just because someone wants me to,” he said.
Raja Singh targets BJP state leadership
Launching a sharp attack on BJP Telangana president Ramchander Rao, Raja Singh described him as a “rubber stamp.” He alleged that all key members of the new state committee were from Hyderabad and questioned whether the panel was formed by Ramchander Rao or Kishan Reddy.
He warned that if the BJP came to power in Telangana under the current leadership, he would retire from politics. “I will continue to point out mistakes in the party. I’m not afraid of anyone,” he added.
In his direct challenge to the Union Minister, Raja Singh said, “If Kishan Reddy resigns from his post, I will resign too. Let him contest against me as an independent.”
