Hyderabad: BJP MLA from Goshamahal, Raja Singh, reiterated his demand on Monday to be appointed as the party’s Telangana unit president, stating he would emulate Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s style of leadership if given the role.
In a video statement released earlier in the day Raja Singh said he was appealing to the BJP central leadership to give him a chance to serve as state president at least once. He claimed that party workers across the state wanted to see him in that position.
He added that, if appointed, he would establish a dedicated cow protection (goraksha) cell and extend support to cow protectors. Singh described the BJP as a Hindutva-driven party and said he would take its message directly to the people through door-to-door campaigns.
He asserted that he would bring a Yogi Adityanath-like approach to party functioning in Telangana and lead from the front in public outreach.
