Rajagopal Reddy asserts BRS will not return to power in Telangana

HYDERABAD: Telangana MLA Rajagopal Reddy has asserted that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will not return to power in the state, even in a thousand lifetimes. He accused the BRS of financially devastating the state during its decade-long rule.

Highlighting alleged corruption, Reddy claimed that a BRS leader from the erstwhile Nalgonda District amassed thousands of crores through illegal sand mining operations and was involved in land encroachments and settlements.

Reddy emphasized that under the current Congress administration, citizens are experiencing peace. He criticized the BRS, now in opposition, for causing disruptions in the Assembly instead of providing constructive suggestions to the government.

Reflecting on past incidents, Reddy recalled that during the BRS’s tenure, six Congress members were forcibly removed from the Assembly by marshals for raising public issues. He asserted that justice prevails over time, as evidenced by the formation of the Congress government in the state.

Praising Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Rajagopal Reddy noted that the CM’s benevolence allowed BRS leaders to remain undisturbed in their farmhouses for the past 15 months. However, he hinted at a change in approach moving forward.
