Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Ramchander Rao on Thursday appealed to people to remain vigilant as heavy rains and floods continued across the state. In a statement released on social media, he cautioned that rainfall in Kamareddy and Medak districts could intensify in the coming days.
Rao expressed condolences to families of those who lost their lives in the floods. He said he was in constant touch with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP national president J.P. Nadda regarding the situation. He added that Union ministers from Telangana, G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, were also holding continuous consultations.

“Public safety is our first priority. There is no need for panic. Telangana BJP will always stand with the people,” Rao assured.
