Hyderabad: BJP Telangana president Ramchander Rao issued a sharp warning to party leaders. He said anyone who defied the high command or made unauthorised statements would face strict disciplinary action.
Rao wrote a letter to several leaders who had publicly criticised the party. In it, he stated that the BJP would not tolerate remarks that questioned its leadership or decisions. “Leaders who cross the party line will face action,” he warned.

Rao reminded members that the BJP high command would handle ticket distribution for the upcoming elections. Therefore, he advised them not to make individual comments before the media. He stressed that only central leaders had the authority to decide on candidates.
Moreover, he told MPs, MLAs, and MLCs to avoid speaking on personal agendas. He said all leaders must follow the high command’s directions without exception. “If any leader promotes new names for the bypolls without clearance, the party will act immediately,” he added.
The BJP state chief further clarified that the state leadership would oversee local elections. Additionally, he said district presidents and constituency in-charges would manage candidate selection. He urged leaders from other areas to avoid self-promotion or interference.
Rao also criticised those who comment publicly about party matters without consulting the state committee. He said such actions hurt party discipline and unity. Finally, he urged leaders to speak responsibly and uphold the organisation’s image.
