Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy district administration reviewed paddy procurement plans for the upcoming kharif season. Officials said all steps were being taken to ensure smooth grain collection across the district.
Additional Collector Chandra Reddy on Thursday held a meeting with department officials at his chamber. He directed them to complete arrangements for procurement centers and to resolve potential issues in advance.
Paddy procurement plans include 33 collection centers
He said the district expected to procure paddy from 33,000 hectares this season. To manage the process, 33 collection centers had been identified and kept ready. He instructed officials to verify electronic weighing machines, stock gunnies and tarpaulins, and ensure availability of all basic equipment.
Chandra Reddy told officials to buy only quality grain and prevent disruptions at each center. He said advance checks would help avoid bottlenecks during peak arrivals.
The review meeting was attended by Civil Supplies Officer Vanajata, District Manager Gopikrishna, DRDO Srilatha, Agriculture Officer Usha, Cooperative Officer Sudhakar, and Marketing Officer Riazuddin, along with other department representatives.
