Hyderabad: The police on Saturday night conducted a raid on a rave party in Kondapur, apprehending nine individuals caught consuming illegal drugs.
During the operation, the police confiscated 2.08 kilograms of ganja, 50 grams of OG Kush, 11.57 grams of magic mushrooms, 1.91 grams of charas, and four LSD blots. Additionally, they took possession of several bottles of alcohol and six vehicles belonging to the suspects. In total, 11 individuals have been charged in connection with this incident.
Those arrested include Rahul, Unnati Emmanuela (also known as Praveen), Ashok Naidu, Sammela Sai Krishna, Nagella Leela Manikantha, Hilton Joseph, Yashwanth Sridutta, Thota Kumaraswamy, and Nandam Sumanth Teja. Two additional suspects, Shrinivas Choudhary and Akhil, are currently on the run.
According to police, Naidu, also known as Vasu, and Shivam Rayudu from Vijayawada, along with others, have formed a network that transports customers from Andhra Pradesh to Kondapur, Hyderabad, to host weekend rave parties in service apartments.
In this context, a rave party was organised on Saturday at S V Nilayam, a service apartment in Kondapur, with the attendance of some individuals from AP and young women. During the event, inappropriate dancing took place alongside the use of drugs and alcohol.
However, the police were alerted about the gathering, leading Sub-Inspector Sandhya Balaraju and team to conduct a raid on the venue. The police have identified Vasu and Shivam Rayudu from Andhra Pradesh as the principal suspects. They have formed a gang and are carrying out this affair secretly. All individuals taken into custody are originally from Andhra Pradesh. (NSS)
