Rebbena Hostel Food Illness

Hyderabad: Three students of a Telangana Social Welfare Gurukulam hostel in Rebbena mandal headquarters, Asifabad district, fell ill on Monday after consuming food at the campus.

The Class 10 students reportedly complained of severe stomach pain shortly after eating and collapsed in discomfort. Hostel staff rushed the students to the local government hospital in Rebbena for first aid.

Doctors, citing the seriousness of the condition, recommended immediate transfer to Bellampalli Government Hospital for advanced care. However, the unavailability of 108 ambulance services caused a critical delay.

Sources said the students struggled to breathe as they awaited help. Two ambulances arrived nearly an hour later and shifted the students to Bellampalli for further treatment.
