Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday compared Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao to former US President Donald Trump, branding him the “Telangana Trump” in a sharp political rebuke.
Speaking at the Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI) Annual Conclave in New Delhi, Revanth Reddy accused KCR of authoritarian leadership and likened his governance style to that of Trump. “There once was a Trump in Telangana, but the people have removed him,” he said.
The Chief Minister added that any leader who governs by personal whims and arbitrary decisions will eventually face political consequences. “A leader who makes impulsive decisions, even late at night, cannot sustain power for long,” he remarked, in a veiled reference to KCR’s past administrative style.
Revanth used the occasion to invite American institutions to establish a presence in Telangana. He assured them of the state’s readiness to provide the infrastructure and support needed for investment and expansion.
