HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed confidence that the Congress government will remain in power for ten years and that he will be re-elected as Chief Minister for a second term.
Speaking to media representatives on Saturday, he stated that Congress secured victory in the recent elections due to the anti-incumbency against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). He added that in the next elections, people will vote for Congress based on their love for the party and the development work undertaken by his government.
Revanth Reddy reiterated his commitment to fulfilling every election promise. He emphasized that the beneficiaries of welfare schemes are the party’s core voters and asserted that he is moving forward with confidence in his work. “For me, the state’s future is more important than personal stature,” he remarked. He assured that one crore women in Telangana would undoubtedly benefit from government initiatives, adding that although they may remain silent now, they will support Congress in the next elections.
He recalled that his past predictions before the elections had come true and maintained that his vision for the future would also materialize. “I will be the Chief Minister for a second term,” Revanth Reddy stated firmly, adding that he would implement every promise made and return to the people with tangible results.
Revanth Reddy expressed confidence that while voters previously chose Congress due to their dissatisfaction with the BRS, they would re-elect Congress in the next term due to trust in the current administration. He stressed that he is progressing with a strong work ethic and that the beneficiaries of government schemes are the party’s primary supporters. He reiterated his faith in the people’s support and pledged to work tirelessly to uphold their trust.
The Chief Minister also reaffirmed his commitment to benefiting one crore women in Telangana, stating that even if they are silent now, they will vote for Congress in the next elections. He pointed out that his past statements had come true and assured that his predictions for the future would be realized as well.
Speaking on the census and budgetary estimates, Revanth Reddy mentioned that the central government had sought projections and was expected to notify the census process in 2027. He added that efforts were being made to ensure that southern states do not suffer losses due to any new demographic policies.
He reiterated that while Congress’s first victory was driven by anti-BRS sentiment, the next election would see people voting for the party out of trust and appreciation for its governance.
