Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Congress MPs on Tuesday paid floral tributes to poet and activist Kaloji Narayana Rao at his residence in Delhi on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
After the homage, the Telangana Congress MPs proceeded to cast their votes in the vice-presidential election.
Kaloji remembered as ‘People’s Poet’
Taking to social media platform X, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy hailed Kaloji as the “People’s Poet” and extended greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Telangana Language Day, observed annually on Kaloji’s birth anniversary.
People remember Kaloji, a Padma Vibhushan awardee, for his poetry, activism, and lifelong role in Telangana’s cultural and political movements.
