Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy returned to Hyderabad today after concluding a three-day visit to Delhi, during which he held discussions with central ministers on critical initiatives spanning sports, agriculture, industry, and infrastructure.
Reddy appealed to Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur for the establishment of a Telangana Sports University and for hosting the next Khelo India Games in the state. He also expressed interest in staging two events for the 2036 Olympics in Telangana. Former cricketer Kapil Dev pledged his support for sports development, while actor Ajay Devgn sought a nod for a film studio in the region.
In agricultural and industrial issues, Revanth met Union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister JP Nadda to secure allocation of urea fertiliser for the state. He also requested funding for the Smart City project in Zaheerabad and pressed for the development of Warangal Airport and industrial corridors.
Notably, the Chief Minister did not meet any senior Congress party leaders during his stay in Delhi. The visit underscores Telangana’s ambition to strengthen its position in sports, entertainment, agriculture, and infrastructure spheres.
