Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Raj Bhavan on Monday.
The CM briefed the Governor on the present administrative situation in Telangana, and the context for the meeting was linked to developments at the national level.
During the meeting, Revanth raised the issue of pending RTI file clearances and sought the Governor’s cooperation. He also formally extended an invitation to the Governor for the Miss World 2025 event being hosted in Hyderabad.
The ongoing Miss World pageant, being conducted between May 10 and 31, is being held in the backdrop of heightened tensions along the country’s borders.
Minister D. Sridhar Babu was also present during the Chief Minister’s visit to Raj Bhavan.
The Miss World 2025 72nd edition began with inaugural festivities on Saturday evening, May 10, at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. Telangana is playing host this year, and the government is treating the event as a high-profile international showcase.
Over 120 countries are participating in the competition. The opening featured the Telangana state anthem followed by a large-scale cultural performance with 250 artists presenting traditional folk dances.
Delegates from various nations took part in the ramp walk segment, showcasing their national fashion themes. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other top state officials attended the event.
