Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss key state-related matters, including land transfer for the Gandhi Sarovar project.
Revanth Reddy seeks Defence land transfer for Gandhi Sarovar project
During the meeting, the Chief Minister formally requested the transfer of 98.20 acres of Defence land to the state government. The land is required for the Gandhi Sarovar project, which is being developed near the confluence of the Musi and Esi rivers.
Revanth Reddy said the state aims to build a “Gandhi Circle of Unity” as part of the project. He described the initiative as a national integration symbol rooted in Gandhian values.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the Gandhi Sarovar would serve as a lasting tribute to peace and national unity. He urged the Defence Ministry to support the project and ensure timely approvals for land transfer.
