New Delhi: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a blistering attack on KCR’s family on Wednesday, branding them as Telangana’s “biggest enemies” and ruling out any possibility of their entry into the Congress.
Speaking informally to reporters in Delhi, Revanth Reddy made it clear that as long as he remained in the party, no member of KCR’s family would ever be allowed to join Congress.
Referring to the conduct of BRS legislators in the Assembly, Revanth Reddy accused them of behaving like thugs, using abusive language purely to grab media attention. He likened KCR, K.T. Rama Rao, Harish Rao, and Kishan Reddy to “birds of the same feather,” implying that they all shared the same political motives.
In a significant revelation, the Chief Minister announced plans to expose irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project in the next two days. He said he would share key documents with the media to highlight the alleged corruption that plagued the multi-crore scheme.
Turning his attention to BJP state president and Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Revanth Reddy accused him of betraying Telangana’s interests. He alleged that Kishan Reddy had failed to secure a single project for the state and was instead obstructing progress in several key initiatives. Reddy said that despite holding the Union Minister’s post, Kishan Reddy had never once convened a meeting to discuss Telangana’s issues.
On the Hyderabad Metro Rail extension, Revanth Reddy claimed that BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao’s opposition was the reason for delays. He alleged that Kishan Reddy was working hand-in-glove with KTR to stall the project, adding that as a Union Minister, Kishan Reddy had been a total failure.
Responding to questions about cabinet expansion and portfolio reshuffling, the Chief Minister clarified that there had been no discussions with the party high command on this matter. He said the talks in Delhi were limited to the caste surveys conducted in Telangana and Karnataka.
