Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday paid rich tributes to veteran tribal leader and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren, calling him a voice for the country’s most marginalised communities.
Revanth Reddy attended the tribal funeral rites held in Namra village, Ramgarh district of Jharkhand, where Soren was honoured with traditional rituals. The Chief Minister offered floral tributes before a portrait of the late leader and recalled his decades of service to tribal and underprivileged groups across India.
He hailed Soren’s legacy as one dedicated to uplifting oppressed communities, adding that his ideals should continue to guide future efforts in tribal welfare. “His life was devoted to the cause of the voiceless. We must carry forward his mission,” Revanth said.
The Telangana CM also met with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and extended personal condolences to the bereaved family members.
