HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy strongly reacted to former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s recent speech, rejecting several allegations made by KCR. Revanth Reddy clarified that the current government is working honestly for the welfare of the people and is determined to eliminate the corrupt policies of the previous administration. He was speaking to media representatives on Monday.
During his speech, KCR had questioned the current government’s policies and alleged that the state’s development had stalled. In response, Revanth Reddy stated that those who had previously harmed the state were now trying to mislead the public. He said that KCR had not yet come to terms with losing power and was making baseless allegations in a failed attempt to divert public attention.
Revanth Reddy emphasised that the present government had prioritised the development of all sections of society, launching numerous welfare programmes for farmers, students, and women. He further stated that the government had taken stringent measures to stabilise the state’s financial situation, and the positive results of these efforts would soon be visible.
The Chief Minister asserted that Telangana’s development was not due to the efforts of a single individual, but was the result of a collective public struggle. He accused the previous government of misusing public resources and burdening the state with debt, adding that the current administration’s objective was to reverse this situation.
Revanth Reddy appealed to the public not to pay heed to false propaganda and to support the government’s developmental initiatives. He reiterated that the state government was committed to working with complete transparency and accountability to transform Telangana into a prosperous state.
