Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday dismissed suggestions of any association with members of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s family. He said he would never align with individuals involved in corruption.
Revanth hits out at BRS family feud
Speaking at the launch of a new unit of SGD-Corning Technologies in Vemula village, Moosapet mandal, Mahbubnagar district, Revanth Reddy addressed recent remarks by BRS MLC K. Kavitha. He said that BRS leaders were falsely linking him to internal disputes within the Kalvakuntla family.
“Some claim I’m backing Harish Rao or Santosh Rao. Others say I’m helping Kavitha. Why would I ever side with corrupt individuals?” Revanth asked. “I stand with the people who elected me. That’s where my loyalty lies.”
He accused members of the KCR family of turning on one another in a battle over illicit wealth. “They’re embracing each other while carrying the weight of betrayal. Their sins will not disappear. They will pay the price,” he said.
CM calls BRS a ‘worthless currency’
Revanth stated that the people of Telangana had long rejected the KCR family. “The BRS party is like a worthless currency. It holds no value anymore. Nature will deliver justice,” he said.
He urged the BRS leadership to keep their internal disputes private. “Don’t drag the public into your family drama. People have no interest in your chaos,” he added.
The Chief Minister also recalled that during the BRS regime, Congress leaders were jailed on false charges to weaken the opposition. He said that era of political victimisation was over and that Telangana now had a government committed to accountability.
