HYDERABAD: The TelanganaRising delegation, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, visited the headquarters of Sony Corporation on Thursday as part of the ongoing official visit to Japan.
During the visit, senior executives of Sony Corporation presented a range of new initiatives and innovations to the delegation, showcasing recent developments and product advancements across the company’s diverse verticals.
The delegation also held detailed discussions with representatives from Crunchyroll, Sony’s animation subsidiary. Discussions focused on the scope for collaboration and investment opportunities in Hyderabad’s growing animation, visual effects (VfX), and gaming industries.
Highlighting Hyderabad’s emergence as a hub for digital content creation, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy presented his vision for establishing a modern film city in Telangana. He explained that the proposed facility would be equipped to support end-to-end production, from pre-visualisation and animation to post-production.
The Chief Minister emphasised Telangana’s conducive ecosystem, skilled talent pool, and world-class infrastructure, stating that Hyderabad was well-positioned to become a global centre for media and entertainment production.
The visit to Sony and Crunchyroll marks another strategic step in Telangana’s efforts to attract global media and technology leaders to invest in the state’s creative and digital economy.
