Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday instructed officials to take up modernization and beautification of streets in areas falling under the Telangana Rising Core Urban Region. Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat, he also directed a dedicated system for managing public toilets and ordered upgrades to electricity substations.
Utility management and streamlining
The Chief Minister stressed the need to streamline and relocate scattered transformers for safety and efficiency. He told officials to ensure proper coordination among departments while granting approvals. He further instructed that drinking water supply and sewage systems be managed separately for better service delivery.
Proposals under review
Officials briefed the Chief Minister on five key proposals prepared for the development of the Telangana Rising Core Urban Region. Revanth Reddy asked them to prioritise urban infrastructure that directly impacts public convenience, sanitation, and safety.

Ramakrishna Rao, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretaries Sheshadri and Srinivasa Raju, Special Secretary Ajit Reddy, and senior officials from GHMC, HYDRA, HMDA, and the Police Department including DGP Jitender.
