Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday pledged full government support to the Telugu film industry. He promised to back reforms, protect worker rights, and invest in skill development.

Addressing a meeting with top producers and directors, the Chief Minister said the government would remain neutral in industry disputes. He stressed that workers must be treated with dignity and fairness. The government, he added, would ensure protection for both workers and producers.

Revanth Reddy called on industry leaders to draft a comprehensive policy with government collaboration. This framework, he said, must promote a safe work culture and introduce necessary regulation to ensure transparency.

To assist newcomers, the Chief Minister proposed a dedicated skill development fund for various filmmaking sectors. Training will be offered through Young India Skills University, aimed at boosting industry readiness.

He acknowledged the global rise of Telugu cinema and described it as a major industry for Telangana. The Chief Minister also credited his recent efforts in resolving the workers’ strike without incident.

Calling for internal reform, he urged the film community to adopt a voluntary code of conduct. He warned against closed systems that limit opportunities and made it clear that all operations must follow the law.

Revanth Reddy said Hyderabad had become a prime destination for international shoots. He encouraged filmmakers to conduct more productions within the state, aiming to position the Telugu film industry on the global stage.

Prominent producers including Allu Aravind, D Suresh Babu, Gemini Kiran, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, and Dil Raju attended the meeting. Directors Trivikram Srinivas, Boyapati Srinu, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Anil Ravipudi were also present. Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju and advisor Vem Narender Reddy joined the discussions.
