Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) booked two revenue officials in Vanaparthi district for demanding a ₹40,000 bribe to process land records.
The accused are Revenue Inspector C. Vasu and Mandal Surveyor G. Naveen Reddy, both posted at the Kothakota mandal office. ACB said they demanded the money from a complainant to prepare a panchanama report and forward it for issuing an Occupancy Rights Certificate (ORC) linked to the complainant’s family land.
ACB registered a case and confirmed that investigation is in progress.
The bureau urged citizens to report bribe demands through the toll-free helpline 1064. Complaints can also be filed on WhatsApp at 9440446106, Facebook (Telangana ACB), X (@TelanganaACB), or via the website acb.telangana.gov.in.
Officials assured that complainants’ and victims’ details will remain confidential.
