HYDERABAD, February 10: Revenue officials conducted a survey of 12 acres of land at Malla Reddy University in Medchal district on Monday, following allegations of land encroachment. The Medchal district court had directed authorities to perform the survey after Yadagiri and Sattemma filed a petition claiming that former minister Malla Reddy had encroached upon their land for the university’s expansion.
In compliance with the court’s instructions, local revenue officials visited the university premises to assess the extent of the alleged encroachment. They are currently measuring the university’s total landholding and identifying any portions that may have been unlawfully occupied.
Malla Reddy, known for his active participation in public events, has recently faced several controversies. Critics have accused him of acquiring land illicitly for his private educational institutions. These allegations have led to multiple legal challenges, including the current case filed by Yadagiri and Sattemma.
The outcome of the survey and subsequent legal proceedings will determine the future course of action regarding the disputed land. Authorities are expected to submit a comprehensive report to the court upon completion of the survey.
