RS Praveen Kumar criticises Cyber Crime Police for political bias

HYDERABAD: BRS leader RS Praveen Kumar has strongly criticised the Cyber Crime Police, accusing them of siding with the ruling party and taking retaliatory action against opposition groups.

He questioned why Cyber Crime officers, who are supposedly patrolling day and night to catch online offenders, consistently appear to identify only members of the BRS party. Referring to doctored social media content, he claimed that a post morphing the Telangana Galam image was shared on X and Instagram, and he officially submitted the links as evidence.

He expressed suspicion that this was part of a conspiracy by the Telangana Congress, warning that such actions had the potential to incite violence across the state. According to him, the act falls under Sections 196, 197, 351, 352, and 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

He called for the police to register a suo motu case without waiting for legal opinion and to treat the accused just as they had treated others in the past—by issuing “Orwellian and Draconian” notices. He said that he had shared the relevant links with the authorities.

Surprising revelation on the best police force in the country!
