Hyderabad: BRS leader and former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy questioned Telangana Minister Konda Surekha for allegedly providing shelter to Sumanth, the main accused in the cement company extortion case.
“Why was the accused found at the minister’s residence?” Sabitha asked, demanding to know whether offering refuge to an accused person was justified. She raised several pointed questions about the role of the minister’s family and the police in the episode.

“Who gave police the orders to enter the minister’s house?” she asked. “If the accused was taken in Konda Surekha’s car, will no action be taken?”
Sabitha also questioned the silence from the government after the minister’s daughter made direct allegations against the Chief Minister’s Office. “Why hasn’t the minister issued a clarification?” she asked.
She demanded transparency in the matter and sought answers on whether any behind-the-scenes settlement had taken place.
