Sajjanar stated that he reviewed live polling footage through the ICCC system. Moreover, he used drone cameras to closely monitor the surroundings of polling stations across the constituency.
He said, “The Jubilee Hills bypoll is being conducted in a peaceful environment. We have ensured that every voter can cast their vote freely and safely.”
Drone surveillance ensures real-time monitoring
For the first time in India, Hyderabad Police introduced large-scale drone surveillance to oversee polling activity. Following the Central Election Commission’s instructions, the department deployed 150 drones to track polling sites. In addition, 900 CCTV cameras helped the police monitor each booth in real time from the ICCC.
Furthermore, Sajjanar explained that drone technology allowed officers to respond quickly to any irregularities and maintain complete order at polling stations. He said the initiative represents a significant leap in modern election security management.
