HYDERABAD: Congress Media Cell Chairman Sama Rammohan Reddy criticized BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Wednesday for assigning key party responsibilities to Harish Rao instead of his son, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR). He questioned KCR’s trust in KTR’s leadership, suggesting the decision reflects a lack of confidence in his political abilities.
Reddy also pointed to KCR’s recent frustration with party workers at Telangana Bhavan. He interpreted this as misdirected anger, stemming from dissatisfaction with KTR’s performance as BRS working president. His remarks hint at internal tensions within BRS over leadership roles.
Additionally, Reddy criticized the absence of discussions on caste enumeration and Backward Classes (BC) representation at the recent BRS meeting. He noted that while KCR’s daughter, Kavitha, actively engages in BC politics, KCR did not address these issues. Reddy suggested this reflects a dismissive attitude toward BC, Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Group (SG) communities within the party.
These remarks add to the ongoing political debate in Telangana over leadership and community representation, fueling discussions about BRS’s internal strategy and priorities.
