Two men injured as sand lorry rams them near Tadwai

Hyderabad: Two men suffered serious injuries when a speeding sand lorry hit them near the mosque in Tadwai, Mulugu district, on Saturday.

According to locals and passengers, the two men were walking along the roadside near the Tadwai mosque when a sand-laden lorry heading from Eturunagaram to Hanamkonda lost control and rammed into them. Both fell unconscious after sustaining severe injuries.

One of the victims suffered a broken right leg and knee, while the other sustained hand injuries. Villagers who witnessed the accident alerted the ambulance services, and both men were shifted to Mulugu government hospital for treatment.

Sand lorry accident in Tadwai sparks concern over reckless driving

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information. They seized the sand lorry and registered a case. Locals alleged that reckless driving by sand lorries had become a serious threat on the Tadwai–Eturunagaram route.

The injured men were identified as residents of Eturunagaram. Their relatives, friends, and local political leaders rushed to the hospital. The sight of the victims lying on the main road deeply moved onlookers, leaving the village in shock.
