Hyderabad: The Transport Department will roll out Sarathi portal services across all Regional Transport Authority offices under Greater Hyderabad from today. The portal already operates in the Hyderabad district. It will now include Medchal and Ranga Reddy districts after the Sarathi technical team collected their data on August 7.
Sarathi portal to replace Telangana portal for RTA services
Officials said they verified the collected data and uploaded it into the Sarathi system. From today, motorists in the Greater Hyderabad area must book slots for RTA services only through the Sarathi portal. The earlier Telangana portal will no longer be used for these services.
Authorities admitted that technical glitches continue to affect Sarathi operations. On average, 100 people apply for driving licence services daily. Only about five receive approvals due to system errors.
Motorists have urged the Transport Department to resolve these technical problems quickly. They said faster fixes will make the services smoother and more accessible to the public.
