Hyderabad: A Scorpio crash on NH-44 near Jadcherla left one man dead and two others injured on Thursday. The vehicle was reportedly speeding when it rammed into a container truck on the Jadcherla flyover.
The incident occurred as the occupants were returning to Hyderabad from Kodaikanal. According to SI Jayaprasad, the deceased has been identified as Rohith, a resident of Kompally. He was travelling with two companions when the crash took place.

Police said the Scorpio hit the container truck from behind at high speed. The impact killed Rohith on the spot, while the other two passengers sustained injuries. Locals alerted authorities, who reached the scene and shifted the injured to the district hospital for treatment.
The body of the deceased was taken to the government hospital in Jadcherla for post-mortem examination. Investigators have registered a case and launched a probe into the exact cause of the crash.
Overspeeding suspected in Jadcherla highway accident
Officials suspect overspeeding may have caused the Scorpio crash on NH-44. They urged motorists to drive carefully, especially on high-speed corridors like National Highway 44, which has seen multiple accidents in recent months.
SI Jayaprasad confirmed that further investigation is underway and added that vehicle condition and road visibility at the time of the crash will also be examined.
