SCR GM launches OEID web application for outsourced staff ID management

Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Tuesday launched the Outsourcing Employees ID cards management (OEID) web application. He also chaired a safety review meeting at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.

The OEID system will generate QR-based ID cards for outsourced staff. It features role-based access, OTP login, document uploads, and a two-step verification process to ensure smooth and secure ID creation.

Focus on winter safety and coordination

The meeting included Additional GM Satya Prakash, department heads, and divisional railway managers from all six divisions. Srivastava urged teams to strictly follow Method and Supervision statements before starting any fieldwork. He asked staff to report disruptions or irregularities during train operations without delay.

The review also covered winter preparations, focusing on signalling, train lighting, and air-conditioning systems.

Key safety issues and GM’s directives

Officials discussed key risks, including level-crossing safety, fire alarms in coaches, cable damage, and cattle-related incidents.

Srivastava reviewed accident inquiry procedures and stressed teamwork across departments. He directed teams to release advance work schedules to support safe and efficient train services.
