Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced SCR special trains 2025 to ease passenger congestion during the upcoming festival season. It has also launched a large-scale Swachhata campaign in Hyderabad as part of the nationwide “Swachhata Hi Seva 2025” initiative.
Special trains for festival season
SCR will operate the following special services:
Train No. 07055/07056 Kacheguda – Anakapalle – Kacheguda (10 services):
- Kacheguda to Anakapalle: Every Thursday from October 2 to 30
- Anakapalle to Kacheguda: Every Friday from October 3 to 31
- Stops: Malkajgiri, Charlapalli, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Nadikude, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Annavaram, Tuni, and Elamanchili
- Coaches: First AC cum Second AC, 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper, General Second Class
Train No. 07095/07096 Charlapalli – H. Nizamuddin – Charlapalli (4 services):
- Charlapalli to H. Nizamuddin: October 7 and 16
- H. Nizamuddin to Charlapalli: October 8 and 17
- Stops: Kazipet, Peddapalli, Mancherial, Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Balharshah, Chandrapur, Sevagram, Nagpur, Amla, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Agra Cantt, Mathura
- Coaches: 1AC, 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper, General Second Class
SCR leads Swachhata walkathon in Hyderabad
Under the theme “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath”, SCR’s Hyderabad division organized a walkathon and Shramdan drive from the Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad. General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava administered the Swachhata pledge and flagged off the event. Rajesh Agarwal, Additional Member (Works), Railway Board, served as Guest of Honour.
Participants included senior officials, railway staff, Scouts and Guides, students, and sports personnel. The programme also featured a sapling plantation drive.
The campaign focuses on five key areas:
- Cleaning neglected spaces under Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs)
- Hygiene at stations and public spaces
- Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs – PPE distribution and health camps
- Zero-waste celebrations under Clean Green Utsav
- Advocacy campaigns like Waste to Art, RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and Clean Street Food
SCR has identified 6,200 CTUs, of which 2,150 have been transformed. So far, the zone has conducted 118 awareness workshops and 64 health camps, distributing 4,531 PPE kits. Over 4,300 individuals have taken part in Shramdaan efforts.
