Hyderabad: Redevelopment work at Secunderabad Railway Station has forced temporary changes in train departures. The South Central Railway announced that several trains scheduled between October 20 and 26 will leave from other stations.
Officials said the changes aim to ensure the smooth progress of modernisation works at the busy terminal. Passengers received advance notices about the diversions.
Major Trains Shifted to Charlapalli
The following trains will now leave from Charlapalli instead of Secunderabad: Secunderabad–Manuguru, Secunderabad–Repalle, Secunderabad–Silchar, Secunderabad–Darbhanga, Secunderabad–Yeshvantpur, Secunderabad–Agartala, Secunderabad–Muzaffarpur, Secunderabad–Santragachi, Secunderabad–Danapur, and Secunderabad–Rameswaram.
Other services also shifted. The Secunderabad–Porbandar train will start from Udayanagar, the Siddipet–Secunderabad service from Malkajgiri, and the Pune–Secunderabad train from Hyderabad station.
Authorities urged passengers to check revised schedules before travel. They assured that alternate stations have adequate arrangements to manage the additional passenger flow.
