Officials briefed the minister on the extent of rainfall, flood intensity, and the scale of damage reported across villages. Seethakka instructed that all low-lying households be inspected and people living in inundated houses shifted immediately to rehabilitation centres. She also directed that measures be taken to pump out stagnant water from flooded houses.
The minister asked electricity, agriculture, drinking water, and Panchayat Raj departments to carry out urgent damage assessments and submit reports. She stressed that officials must stay available at the field level to reassure affected communities.
Special focus was placed on sanitation in villages to prevent the outbreak of diseases. Authorities were ordered to intensify cleaning drives in waterlogged areas. Officials were also told to regulate public movement near streams and tanks to prevent accidents.
The minister emphasised that advance warnings should be issued in flood-prone areas and precautionary steps taken to ensure no loss of life. She said she would personally visit Kamareddy once weather conditions improve to assess the situation on the ground.
